Internet Training Portal on Security and Safety at Work for
Workers with Difficult Access to Continuing Training
|
The project’s goal was to give adequate response to the
lack of appropriate training to workers regarding Safety
and Health at Work issues. This need is stressed out when
analyzing training needs of SME and SOHO’s workers. These
segments present particularly low levels of training in
most countries, and thus we face a situation in which
employers cannot usually comply with the obligations set up
in this respect by the Council Directive 89/391/CEE.
Moreover, this insufficient level of training results in
high levels of accidents at work amongst workers of small
organizations. On the other hand, the proposal also deals
with the need of harmonization in Safety and Health at Work
training in Europe.

JANUS-The Intercultural Dimension for the benefit of
Vocational Training in Enterprises
|
The project was focused on the aspects of multiculturalism
in educational environments. The main objective was to
create an online system which allowed to determine training
participants expectations and thus made the necessary
modifications in the methods and procedures for its
implementation. The system was based on the culture
dimensions defined by G. Hofstede. During system creation
the distance of power, individualism and collectivism,
masculinity and femininity, uncertainty avoidance and
long-and short-term orientation was taken into
consideration. System was based and programmed on this
classification. It was useful in identifying behaviors,
preferences and desired ways of communication with mixed
culture groups. As created tool it helped with training
planning for target groups. The system was tested in the
partner countries and widely disseminated.

RURWOMBACK
|
Nowadays, a great effort is being made by the national
vocational training systems to adapt themselves to the
specific characteristics of each target group, as to cope
with the peculiar and specific conditions and needs of
every group. That is the case for rural women that have no
or obsolete skills and competences or after leaving totally
or partially the labour market, due to family
responsibilities, wish to re –enter the labour market, but
find their competences and skills obsolete. Considered as a
specific target group, they need training actions and
programmes adapted to their needs and characteristics. the
goal of the project is to propose, starting with the
transnational analysis of the target group and of the
current PVT systems, a number of specific methodological
adaptations, making reference to programming, planning,
managing and development of training activities, as well as
vocational guidance.

Motivation and Discipline in Schools
|
The subject of this project is to present the innovative
approach in resolving conflicts in schools and classrooms,
creating a safer atmosphere, more productive lesson
environment based on making "Peaceable Classrooms". This
model represents classroom and school as communities of
care and respect, where we underline 6
important topics: cooperation, communication, emotional
expression, responsible decision-making, appreciation of
diversity, and conflict resolution. This approach will be
based on the teacher¿s own experiences and will be tested
on the schools that take part in the creation of the

Adults Learn in Family
|
The purpose of the partnership is a more in depth view and
exchange of experiences between partners on topics such as
how to be part of the family, how to be good parents, the
use and the diffusion of new ICT technologies and family
learning, as well as the dialogue between generations. The
main objective of the partnership is to observe the family
environment and define its educative potential in
connection with the specific themes defined by each
partner.
The problem to be solved is that of the generation gap and
of the changes families have undergone from being an
environment for the growth of its younger members to a
ground for confrontation and strained relations created by
the ever widening gap between the actors.

|
Because digital and web literacy have rapidly become
fundamental for individuals in a knowledge-based society
and as essential as knowing how to read and write. However,
not everyone has the necessary survival tools in the
digital era, especially people in risk groups. In some EU
countries over 50% of the population has still never used
the internet. It concerns all of us! Developing learners’
ICT skills is an important aspect of tackling social and
economic exclusion, and bridging the digital divide. ICT is
increasingly becoming a popular way for people to acquire
skills, and ICT training can also encourage people to
develop their literacy, language and numerical skills.
